Nesco Resource is looking for a Manufacturing Technician in New Milford, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate. Schedule: Monday- Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Pay: $20.00- $24.00/hour depending on experience Position Summary: Reporting to the Final Assembly Team Leader, the Manufacturing Technician is responsible for assembling mechanical parts, performing plumbing operations, and completing the final build of transformer and rectifier units. This includes working with a variety of components and systems in accordance with technical drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble parts, accessories, and components per blueprints and work instructions
  • Prepare tanks and wooden frames for unit assembly
  • Disassemble and document repaired units; organize parts accordingly
  • Tap, insulate, and install line leads, bus bars, and coils
  • Route and connect internal wiring and cables in high- and low-voltage systems
  • Install external components (e.g., conservators, piping, gauges, brackets)
  • Perform plumbing tasks including: layout, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of piping systems
  • Test systems using gauges and leak detection equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and rotate between departments as needed
  • Operate hand and power tools, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment
  • Complete accurate records and adhere to safety and quality procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly
  • 2 years of plumbing experience in an industrial or commercial setting preferred
  • Proficient with piping materials (carbon steel, PVC, copper, etc.) and techniques (welding, soldering, brazing, threading)
  • Skilled in reading schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints
  • Comfortable using a wide range of hand/power tools and shop equipment
  • Able to operate forklifts and overhead cranes (or willing to complete training)
  • Accurate, efficient, and quality-focused in meeting production schedules
Physical & Work Requirements:
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, and navigate confined spaces
  • Must wear PPE and use fall protection as required
  • Must be available for overtime as needed
