Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for managing a manufacturing team including organizing the team roles and evaluation of job performance. The supervisor is responsible to assist with the completion of manufacturing activities including review of documents for quality purposes.

This role is for 2nd shift and will require the following schedule:

  • The current schedule is 2pm-10:30pm Mon-Fri.
  • The new schedule will be 2pm-12:30am on either Sun-Weds or Weds-Sat.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage manufacturing team to develop, execute, and complete assignments
  • Organize team roles and evaluate performance
  • Document operational tasks and report to management
  • Perform employee reviews and assessments
  • Assist with new employee onboarding and training program
  • Assist, execute and analyze project processes
  • Analyze and present data in functional or cross-functional meetings. Maintain accurate plan notebooks and laboratory protocols
  • Perform equipment set up, sterilization, daily operation, sampling, and in-process analytical testing
  • Prepare necessary media and other chemical solutions for project processes
  • Perform equipment setup, sterilization, daily operations, sampling, and in-process analytical testing
  • Execution of lab or pilot-scale purification using Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF), Hydrophobic Interaction Membrane (HIC) as needed
  • Assemble bioreactor and conduct protein -polysaccharide conjugation reactions
  • Perform size reduction of polysaccharide using high pressure homogenizers

Non-Essential (Additional) Functions:

  • Development and optimization of project processes and assist with preparation of batch manufacturing records, SOPs, and validation documents
  • Document experiments and manufacturing lots as per cGMP requirement
  • Comply with all lab safety requirement and procedures

Job Specifications:

Educational Pre-requisites:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience with increasing responsibilities.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be present on site for all related responsibilities and be able to routinely perform activities as needed.
  • Must be able to sit and stand unassisted for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to handle and work with potentially hazardous chemicals per standard operating procedure.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Mental Demands:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail
  • Must maintain high level alertness and acuity for analytical review and processing of documentation, daily.
  • Able to work independently with changing priorities.

Working Conditions:

  • Onsite position in Woodinville, WA. No remote or hybrid work is available for this position.
  • Extended periods of time on the computer.
  • Extended periods of time on your feet.
  • Working in warm environment wearing sterile gowning.
  • Working with chemicals per standard operating procedure.
  • $95,000 - $102,000 per year / DOE
  • It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
  • The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
