Manufacturing Robotics Automation Engineer
You will be the Manufacturing Robotics Automation Engineer for the Lufkin Automated Engineering team. Our team is tasked with the design and implementation of automation and robotics solutions for Lufkin Missiles and Fire Control. As a Manufacturing Robotics Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for providing manufacturing guidelines production cycles to ensure integration of automated solutions during manufacturing phases. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and participating in the assembly, validation, and deployment of manufacturing tools and electromechanical systems that includes automated components such as robots, conveyors, vision systems, and other production equipment.
- Support Research and Development (IRAD) projects related to automation and robotics technologies.
- Working with engineering and manufacturing roles to understand requirements and manufacturing processes for which automation tools can be developed and deployed.
- Capital planning and execution, vendor/integrator engagement, and project management activities to deploy automated solutions at multiple sites across MFC.
- Responsible for life cycle of automated processes and equipment from implementation to maintenance and upgrades.
- New developments in automation to facilitate continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations and drawing requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance so must be a US Citizen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in automated electronic assembly processing equipment
- Knowledge of J-STD-001 specification
- Must be able to effectively support or lead in a team environment
- Experience in solving complex problems
Desired Skills:
- Experience in circuit card assembly or electro-mechanical assembly.
- Experience in industrial processes and specifications.
- Experience with SAP manufacturing execution system or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts & techniques.
- Teaming experience with strong written & verbal communication skills.

- Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
