Key Responsibilities:- Supervise operations within multiple departments and shifts at thehighest practical efficiency.This includes working with employees andmanagement to develop production schedules, budgets, and to coordinate movement of material in and out of the work area.Resolve operating,scheduling, and production issues as needed.
- Work with other department supervisors to ensure operations meet quality standards andproductspecifications.
- Work with other department supervisors to ensure machinery, equipment, and work areas aremaintained properly.Work with maintenance to coordinate preventativemaintenance, expedite repairs, and schedule equipment updates, additions, and/or replacements.
- Work with other department supervisors to ensure work is carried out in a safe manner and that allareas are free of work hazards.Ensurethat company safety policies and practicesarefollowed by employees.Set personal example by observing all safe work practices andparticipate in safety checks, audits, investigations.
- Participate in new hire orientations, employee training, ongoing coaching, andreinforcement to employees.Observe and apply all Hood human resources,safety, and related policies.
- Participate in creating required operating reports (e.g. work hours, productionlevels, quality testing, etc.).Participate in maintaining appropriate and requiredoperating, regulatory, and human resources records, includingattendance logsvia KRONOS, preventative and corrective maintenance via Guardian, and production reports via LumberTrax.

- Previous manufacturing experience required. Prior wood products experiencepreferred.
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of Internet, Excel and Word.
- General knowledge of OSHA standards.
- Ability to work with a diverse workforce.
- Must be able to work multiple shifts and weekends.
