Manufacturing Nbd Lead

The Manufacturing NBD Lead manages and coordinates the NBD change and innovation management process for Operations functions including domestic and global co-manufacturing. Responsible for timely and successful coordination and completion of project activities for the creation or revision of finished goods and products. This role will partner with marketing, sales, operations, and numerous other cross functional groups to support new product launches working with the cross functional teams to assist in bottle selection, manufacturing capabilities/challenges, and timelines. This role will coordinate directly with the manufacturing sites to determine production location, feasibility, and capital requirements of each NBD project. This role will assist in determining overall strategic production locations for NBD items and other SKUs across the network. This role will directly manage PIFs/PCFs generated by the Operational Excellence team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as manufacturing point for determining production locations and capabilities for all NBD products. Partner with marketing, sales, NBD, and manufacturing teams to understand feasibility for NTW projects. Load and update the company NBD project tracker with new project information. Identify components, change requirements, and align completion dates to support project target date. Evaluate project progress and communicate on critical-path action items. Take part in change management by determining topics and action items for bi-weekly manufacturing/marketing review meetings.
  • Ensure proper prioritization of tasks within project teams. Reviews completeness of projects and project documents; ensure all required actions have been identified and assigned. Can track and select site capabilities to make informed manufacturing decisions on NBD items.
  • Using information from ERP and NBD System, this role enters information into project trackers. Identifies appropriate team members, issues instruction email with directives, deadlines and other status-related items (overdue, upcoming actions) to ensure project completion. Enter tasks into company systems (PPT, NBD GUI) where applicable. Track accountability and status for internal and external actions related to project progress.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, operations, and numerous other cross functional groups to support new product launches. Work with the cross functional teams to assist in bottle selection, manufacturing capabilities/challenges, and timelines. Maintain a prioritized list of new initiatives and ensure projects are communicated and managed in order to achieve target ship dates and volumes. Participates in NBD Steering Committee providing performance data and assists with process improvement.
  • Reports periodically on timelines, processes, and improvement opportunities. KPI reporting on a monthly basis; ad hoc reporting as needed. Tracking site preparedness in terms of project timelines.
  • Regularly complete the analysis of component system data identify errors and omissions and amend data records according to directions. Utilize BOMs to appropriately determine manufacturing locations and capabilities.
  • Develop a Career Plan for myself that will allow me to achieve my overall career objectives.
  • Utilize the PDS system for self-development leading to continuous improvement in performance.
  • Maintain, monitor and report on Company wide NBD project performance in terms of project volumes, timings and completions.
  • Manufacturing lead for NBD related items. Supports marketing, sales, procurement, and operations in new product development. Responds to all inquiries and issues of internal and external customers quickly and proactively provides updates. Ensure potential project delays are addressed and preventive actions identified. Supports on time NBD goals.
Qualifications/Requirements

Must-Have:

  • 2+ years experience in a fast paced environment
  • 2+ years relevant experience (minimum)
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems/processes
  • Bachelors Degree or commensurate experience
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Detail Oriented
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Preferred:

  • Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
  • 2 years implementation or project management experience.

  • Ability to pay attention to detail
