Role Purpose
To lead the design, development, and deployment of IT solutions that enhance manufacturing performance, efficiency, and data integration. This role bridges the gap between IT and OT (Operational Technology), enabling smart factory initiatives and supporting Manufacturing 4.0 transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement IT/OT solutions that support manufacturing operations, including MES, SCADA, ERP integration, and data analytics platforms.
Collaborate with plant leadership, process engineers, and corporate IT to identify pain points and opportunities for digital transformation.
Lead the design of secure, scalable, and maintainable system architectures that align with enterprise standards and plant-specific needs.
Support deployment of advanced analytics, dashboards, and digital twins to improve process visibility and decision-making.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data governance, and IT quality standards.
Serve as the technical lead for IT-related capital projects and system upgrades.
Provide guidance on system interoperability, data flow, and infrastructure requirements across shop floor and enterprise systems.
Experiences/Education - Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IT architecture, with a strong focus on manufacturing or industrial environments.
Proven track record of implementing and supporting manufacturing systems such as MES, SCADA, PLCs, and ERP integrations.
Deep understanding of IT/OT convergence and Industry 4.0 technologies.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), data lakes, and integration tools (e.g., Kafka, MuleSoft).
Proficiency with SQL databases and reporting (MSSQL, Oracle, SSRS, Power BI)
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices in industrial environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
Experiences/Education - Desired
Experience with SAP, PI, or other enterprise manufacturing platforms.
Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.

The range for this position is $103,426.00 - $142,211.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
