Job Title: Manufacturing Summer Intern (2025)Reporting Shift: Monday - Friday (8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) 30 minutes Paid LunchCompensation: Hourly Compensation $16.50 / Weekly PayPosition SummarySpecialty Silicone Products, Inc. is actively seeking some highly motivated Interns for our engineering, and manufacturing projects for our Summer 2025 program. The Intern will be responsible for assisting teams in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of the department's projects. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of SSP's products. The role will focus on the successful completion of technical projects, process improvement, documentation, and presentation of results at the end of the program.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain a detailed understanding of all SSP productsWork with senior level management to interpret and analyze dataAbility to independently set up experiments and monitor progressSupport the development of standard operating procedures and work instructionsHands on experience on plant floor and manufacturing facility in the areas of troubleshooting techniques and engineering design Ability to critically analyze data in terms of system performance and reliabilityRepresent SSP in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsPerform all other duties as assignedQualifications and EducationPursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in related field or equivalent and have completed at least two full years prior to start of the internshipPrior Internship or Co-op experience preferredMust have reliable transportation to the officeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPossess solid hands-on approach to problem-solvingComputer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OutlookAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailExcellent follow-throughMust be driven and self-motivatedMust possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work qualitySSP Beliefs & Values At SSP, our core beliefs and values foster a family environment.Our Core Principles:We are comfortable being uncomfortableWe give each other graceEvery day is an opportunity to make a differenceNever settle for good enoughNo politics
