Responsible for support of over $119M in annual sales. Coordinate, direct and prioritize Manufacturing Engineering activities to assure top priorities are focused on key objectives of quality, cost, and delivery. Lead Manufacturing Engineering responsibilities within the focus factory including CapEx, Factory Cost Out and establishing and maintaining compliance to regulatory and customer requirements. Design equipment, gauging, and tooling utilizing CATIA solid modeling software and other engineering analysis and design tools. Work with suppliers and purchasing to procure equipment, tooling, and supplies as required. Specific equipment requirements include manual assembly, semi-automatic equipment and pressure testing. Mentor others in Manufacturing Engineering competencies, processes, and lean concepts. Troubleshoot and improve process including assembly and testing of products produced. Troubleshoot, recommend and implement changes in products and processes to improve manufacturability and profitability (cost out). Work directly with production associates, from all areas of the plant, in the implementation of projects in order to build an inclusive culture and processes that meet the needs of all employees and customers. Collect and analyze manufacturing data and metrics to aid in design and improvement of processes. Manage activities and budgets for manufacturing and process improvement projects, including the development of the project management requirements and all implementation documentation. Provide functional and technical support to the organization as required to support goals. Proficient with tools for Measurement System Analysis, Capability Analysis, SPC and FMEA Provide support to launch projects through ProLaunch team as required to achieve a flawless launch. Provide support to Transition projects as required to achieve a flawless transition. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Two (2) years of managing/leading people Knowledge of process design, including equipment and tooling with demonstrated results Mechanical and control knowledge for equipment troubleshooting and recommendation of improvements to product and process. Proficient at AIAG or equivalent tools for Measurement System Analysis, Capability Analysis, SPC and FMEA Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from production associates to the leadership team. Experience with NADCAP (or other industry standards) audits preferred.
