We're hiring an experienced Manufacturing Engineer (officially titled Chief Engineer) to oversee operations at a large-scale food production facility in Edison, NJ. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll guide a team, improve systems, and help keep things running smoothly across the board - from automation to safety protocols. Job Details

• Pay: $100,000-$118,000 per year (based on experience)
• Location: Edison, NJ
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

• Oversee all aspects of the maintenance department, including equipment, facility, and grounds
• Develop and manage preventive/predictive maintenance schedules and work orders
• Supervise maintenance team hiring, training, and development
• Lead capital project planning, budgeting, and contractor coordination
• Work closely with production and sanitation teams to support efficient operations
• Respond to equipment issues, troubleshoot systems, and support urgent repairs when needed

• Minimum 2 years of experience in automation controls within an industrial setting
• Strong understanding of Allen Bradley PLC platforms, PanelView HMIs, PowerFlex inverters, and Kinetix servo systems
• Proficient in reading and updating electrical schematics and wiring new components
• Experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Comfortable using spreadsheets, office software, and Ethernet networking tools
• Proven leadership skills and ability to mentor technicians
• Food manufacturing experience is required
