Manufacturing Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs. This role will focus on coordinating mechanical parts, reviewing and maintaining specifications, and supporting inspection-related activities. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure parts meet engineering, quality, and customer requirements. This position reports to the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, document, and maintain mechanical part specifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers, engineers, and quality teams to ensure parts meet design and compliance standards.
- Support inspection activities, including evaluating parts against drawings and specifications.
- Assist with updating and maintaining technical documentation and engineering databases.
- Communicate findings and coordinate corrective actions with engineering and production teams.
- Provide support for ongoing projects and process improvements related to part quality and specification control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required).
- 0–2 years of experience in engineering, quality, or related technical roles (internships or co-op experience acceptable).
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, specifications, and part tolerances.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; exposure to CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
