What will your role be?

As a Senior Manufacturing, your role is to leverage deep manufacturing and lean expertise to provide diagnostic insights and implement transformative improvements across the value stream. You will be responsible for evaluating operator efficiency, identifying productivity bottlenecks, and leading initiatives to enhance process flow, reduce waste, and ensure repeatable, high-quality outcomes in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Activities:

  • Diagnose and evaluate productivity within the manufacturing line, focusing on operator efficiency per task and identifying opportunities for lean improvements across the value stream
  • Utilize manufacturing expertise to provide value engineering suggestions to Estimating, Design, and Process Engineering
  • Develop and implement process improvement plans to improve quality, reduce costs, and optimize workflow
  • Analyze statistical data and product specifications to establish and monitor production standards and reliability objectives
  • Support the development of setup cards and documentation to standardize processes and minimize operator variability
  • Assist in the design, evaluation, and modification of tools to meet customer requirements, testing methods, and production standards
  • Collaborate with manufacturing operations to increase efficiency, develop repeatable processes, and introduce new equipment and manufacturing methods
  • Lead the transition of new product introductions from development to sustained production
  • Create and refine sampling procedures and quality reporting documentation
  • Work directly with shop personnel to resolve production issues and implement best practices
  • Provide input on new business estimations, process methods, and tooling strategies
  • Review and validate the accuracy of engineering work, suggest design changes, and recommend improvements to enhance production effectiveness

What skills and qualifications are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution preferred
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt strongly preferred
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and improving operator productivity and value stream performance
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, SMED, VSM, and other CI tools
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams through change
  • Hands-on, data-driven, and solutions-focused mindset
