Job DescriptionTitle: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Monticello, IN Job Type: 3-6 month contract, potential for direct hire conversion Pay: $45-55/hr Benefits: Vision, Medical, Dental, ESOP Sterling Engineering is working with a well-known, heavy-hitting manufacturing company looking to bring on engineers across a few different shifts to assist with major Continuous Improvement (CI) projects aimed at scrap reduction. - Exemplify the culture of continuous improvement and simplification across the organization.
- Develop as a site/functional team member through training, Kaizens, and RBS tools to effectively utilize performance tools, methodologies, and philosophies to drive performance excellence.
- Work with site or functional leadership to develop current and future Value Streams, standard work, and sustained stability to achieve operating goals.
- Reduce scrap and non-conformances by eliminating waste and variation in all forms.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of full time, manufacturing OR quality engineering experience
- Experience in CI projects
- Ability to work as a problem solver
- Experience in a machine shop setting
