Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining manufacturing best practices, drawings, work instructions, and related documents for the die cast department, secondary operations, and automated inspection.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs
  • Solicit observations from operators and setup technicians
  • Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
  • Train with production floor personnel to understand the use of auxiliary equipment to improve the layout function of the equipment to reach customers' expectations
  • Test finished product and process capabilities, establish standards, and confirm manufacturing processes
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production and labor costs
  • Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services
  • Complete design and development projects by training and guiding maintenance and setup mechanics
  • Train staff in new and existing processes and equipment
  • Write operating work instructions and procedures
  • Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineer or similar role
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • CAD familiarity (SolidWorks, Pro-E, Inventor, etc.)
  • Excellent note-taking, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000
