We're committed to ensuring you thrive, so together, we can leave a wake that changes lives on and off the water.----The Premier Engineering Internship program is designed to give you an opportunity to work in a collaborative product & process development environment. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a cross-functional team to improve efficiency & quality of Industry leading Pontoon boat manufacturing. With guidance from a Senior Engineer, you will have the opportunity to concept and implement key process improvements such as fixtures, tools, and work instructions. --The Manufacturing Engineering Intern's assignments are aligned with company Core Values & Objectives, resulting in opportunities to realize solutions in real time. You will also have the opportunity to extend learnings from the classroom into completing Engineering analysis to drive manufacturing improvements to improve yield, cycle time, safety, and product quality.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive manufacturing process improvement activities through analysis and benchmarking to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and eliminate bottle necks.Design process improvement tools such as weld and assembly fixtures.Support autonomous manufacturing and other process improvement technologies.Create and update standard work documentation for processes, including but not limited to, all relevant maintenance documents and practices.Establish a reasonable project schedule and manage timely completion of tasks.Launch new product by determining component manufacturing process to meet overall performance and cost.Analyze production quality and field problems to drive corrective actions.Resolve issues identified on Tier Continuous Improvement Boards to help facility achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvement goals.Perform other miscellaneous project related assignments.Required Skills/AbilitiesRequired - Pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical EngineeringRequired - Minimum GPA of 3.0Completion of at least 2 years of Engineering courseworkExperience with a 3-D CAD modeling package such as SolidworksExperience with analytical tools based on engineering principles: Application of free body diagrams and hand calculations of statics and dynamics; Computer modeling such as FEA, CFD experience desired; GD&T and dimensional tolerance stack-ups; Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA)High level of people skills, able to work in a team environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills.Quick learner with high level of ambition and resolve, self-starter able to manage complexity and ambiguous design paths, creative problem solver that can drive innovative solutionsMicrosoft software including Excel, Project, Word, Outlook and PowerPointPhysical RequirementsMust have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.--Must be able to see details at close range.--Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.Must be able to read work instructions and drawings.Must be able to work at a fast pace.Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by lifting, walking, bending, twisting and carrying materials.PIddf84753f722-25660-#######4
