Over the years, they have built a strong reputation for innovation, reliability, and commitment to domestic production. Job Description The key responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead and manage multiple complex projects, applying strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Design and develop manufacturing processes, including fixture creation using SolidWorks and precise tooling selection for high-tolerance component production.
  • Establish and implement effective quality systems and gauging methods to ensure consistent production standards.
  • Develop machining and assembly procedures involving CNC machining centers, lathes, grinding, and broaching operations.
  • Program CNC equipment utilizing G & M-Code, CAM software (Mastercam), and macro programming techniques.
  • Apply GD&T principles to support proper work holding, machining accuracy, and gauge control aligned with design requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to source, develop, and validate manufacturing tools and equipment.
  • Promote standardization across the facility through core competency teams, benchmarking, process documentation, and equipment checklists.
  • Mentor junior engineers and production staff, offering technical guidance and support within the manufacturing environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by supporting the company's LEAN manufacturing initiatives.

The Successful Applicant A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Technology is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software, with experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of CNC metal cutting machinery and related processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with the design and application of fixtures and gauges.
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
  • Experience with capability studies, gage repeatability and reproducibility (R&R), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
