What You'll Do
As Managing Veterinarian /\nMedical Director, you'll play a key role in both clinical leadership and\nbusiness operations.
Medical & Operational\nLeadership
\n - Oversee\n medical protocols and ensure high standards of patient care
\n - Provide\n mentorship, case guidance, and training for veterinarians and support\n staff
\n - Foster\n a culture of excellence in client communication and education
\n - Develop\n hospital procedures and promote adherence to compliance standards
\n - Ensure\n appropriate CE, licensing, and professional development for the veterinary\n team
Strategic & Financial\nManagement
\n - Partner\n with the Hospital Manager to develop and meet operating budgets
\n - Monitor\n revenue, expenses, and financial KPIs to support sustainable growth
\n - Participate\n in recruiting and onboarding of new veterinarians and team members
\n - Prepare\n associate schedules and performance reviews
\n - Lead\n change management and innovation initiatives that elevate practice\n operation
Practice Growth &\nCommunity Engagement
\n - Drive\n community involvement, client retention, and practice visibility
\n - Support\n marketing and outreach initiatives in partnership with NVA leadership
\n - Be an\n advocate for continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery
What We're Looking For
\n - DVM or\n equivalent degree
\n - Licensure\n (or ability to obtain) in New York State
\n - Clinical\n experience in small or mixed animal practice
\n - Proven\n leadership or management experience preferred, but not required
\n - Strong\n interpersonal and communication skills
\n - Commitment\n to team development, high medical standards, and community impact
Compensation:
\n - Base salary of $115,000-$150,000
\n - Production-based bonuses
\n - Generous signing bonus
