Overview

Live Hospitality & Entertainment is leveraging its hospitality expertise, community ties, and knowledge of the Roland Park community to create a unique upscale dining experience in North Baltimore at Cross Keys. We are looking to partner with a tremendous General Manager who can execute at the highest leadership level to bring this magnificent concept to life.

Cece's menu, led by James Beard Award Nominee Chef John Suley, will focus on coastal cuisine with Mediterranean-influenced dishes. Using the finest ingredients, the curated menu will offer guests elevated options that are simple, yet perfectly prepared for weekday lunches, dinner seven nights a week, as well as brunch and lunch on the weekends.

Managing Partner

The Managing Partner serves as the entrepreneurial leader of their assigned business, maintaining full accountability for driving sales, ensuring guest satisfaction, building a great team, and controlling costs. Managing Partners are eligible to participate in the Managing Partner Bonus Plan.

Responsibilities

  • Driving Sales: Takes personal ownership of driving revenue including management of sales building, group sales, VIP efforts and other outreach initiatives.
    • Builds a strong sense of teamwork and open communication between operational, marketing, promotions and sales leaders to achieve revenue goals.
  • Leads from the front: Is present and functions as the face of the business
    • In-venue during peak revenue periods, including Thursday – Saturday nights, sports watch events and large group/full venue buyouts.
    • Represents the venue professionally to the community, including marketing partners/sponsors, local businesses, civic organizations, and media.
  • Ensures Guest Satisfaction: Provides energetic and high-quality delivery of the guest experience, including service, food, beverage, and entertainment quality.
    • Maintains a professional image, including facility cleanliness and maintenance, proper uniforms and appearance standards.
    • Ensures all food and beverage are served in accordance with company standards.
    • Responds to customer service needs and delivers the highest level of service.
  • Team Building: Builds a strong team with a positive, can-do culture.
    • Recruits, interviews and hires management and hourly team members, building a highly capable and committed team.
    • Fosters a culture of pride in the brand.
    • Trains, motivates, rewards, develops, and promotes.
    • Implements disciplinary action when necessary and ensures team members have tools and equipment needed.
  • Controls Costs: Manages day-to-day operations within company policies and guidelines.
    • Maintains cost of goods sold, nightly comps, nightly recap reports, and safe audits by overseeing inventory counts.
    • Manages Profit & Loss by following cash controls, inventory management, labor, financial reports, and appropriate actions including stock of alcohol and other products.
    • Prepares Ops Statements and other financial disclosures and takes appropriate actions.
    • Manages service contracts with outside vendors, including third-party entertainment vendors; ensures proper legal review and approval of all contracts.
    • Ensures daily deposits are made and safe counts conducted; secures venue cash at all times.
    • Completes financial and personnel/payroll-related administrative duties accurately and on time.
    • Ensures a safe working and guest environment and that applicable compliance training is completed.

Managing Partner Qualifications

  • Self-motivated, accomplished leader with a proven track record in leading entertainment, food, beverage, and related concepts.
  • At least 5 years' experience in restaurant/nightclub management; multi-unit management is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; 4-year college degree or equivalent with coursework in restaurant management is preferred.
  • Commitment to the Managing Partner program core values.
  • Fluent English required; other languages preferred.
  • Excellent people management, communication, and listening skills.
  • Proven ability to build and lead a team and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to draft professional written communications to various audiences; capable of reading and analyzing basic financial reports.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change; strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for teaching others; internally motivated.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 annually. Eligible employees are entitled to a comprehensive benefits package following the required eligibility period, which includes:
