SUMMARY

The Managing Director Loan Operations is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring regulatory loan compliance as well as overseeing the Loan Operations Department.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement loan operations strategies to ensure efficient processing, servicing, and administration of loans.
  • Oversee the bank's loan processing, documentation, and servicing activities.
  • Oversee the Loan Operations Department and maintain efficient operations.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of loan operations professionals, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive lending strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze loan operations performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports to Executive Management and the Board of Directors on the Bank's loan operations, activities, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external auditors.
  • Manage the implementation of new loan products and services, ensuring smooth integration into existing operations.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of loan operations' systems and technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure timely and accurate loan disbursements and repayments, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Oversee and conduct regular audits and reviews of loan operations processes to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement training programs for loan operations team to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Coordinate with the Chief Credit and Risk Officer, Chief Lending Officer & Managing Director of Special Assets to address any legal issues related to loan operations.
  • Oversee and manage the staff who service the bank interim construction loan process.
  • Review daily and monthly reporting.
  • Process non-accrual, charged off, and recovery of all loan types.
  • Maintain the items held as collateral in vault.
  • Review denials for compliance accuracy.
  • Research and maintenance of loan posting errors.
  • Maintenance of loan interest rate indexes in core.
  • Monitor Staff that manage Letters of Credit Servicing.
  • Identify and submit quarterly loans pledged to Federal Home Loan Bank.
  • Research and gather documentation for subpoenas.
  • Assist other departments as necessary and required by management.
  • Follow all regulatory and Bank policies and procedures.
  • Provide Monthly Board reporting.
  • Train, supervise, and delegate assignments to their team, holding them accountable through coaching, constructive criticism, assessment, performance evaluation, and disciplinary action when required by establishing clearly defined responsibilities and performance expectations while assuring full compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Create and manage work schedules of direct reports, including but not limited to approving or denying requests for time off from work, Paid Time Off in Paylocity, etc.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to their team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 10-15 years of loan operations management experience in a financial institution.
  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, qualifying motor vehicle record report, and reliable transportation.
