General Responsibilities

The Managing Director (MD) will report to the TSP VP, Executive Search, and be a visible leader contributing to the team's success. The MD will identify, develop, and grow opportunities within critical markets for TSP's growth. Responsibilities include directing and building practice activities, focusing on new business development, client retention, and search execution. The MD will also drive strategic marketing and sales plans to meet business and financial goals.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain client relationships in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, diagnostic health IT, venture capital, and private equity sectors to generate and grow business opportunities.
  • Drive revenue through new business development and executing senior-level searches.
  • Create strategies to expand business within existing client accounts.
  • Coordinate TSP's business development efforts to achieve revenue targets.
  • Lead and develop the search team to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Foster teamwork, collaboration, and communication.
  • Achieve personal revenue goals within the practice.
  • Support the growth and development of the practice continually.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of progressive recruiting experience, including at least 3 years managing a 360 desk in retained search.
  • Proven success in establishing new clients and generating over $500,000 in annual revenue.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or clinical recruiting is preferred.
  • If no direct Life Sciences experience, related functional experience (HR, finance, IT, etc.) supporting the industry is acceptable.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Ability to travel 25-30%.

The annual base salary ranges from $100,000 to $150,000, with potential bonuses or commissions based on performance. Actual salary depends on qualifications and skills.
