Our client is a leading global investment bank providing comprehensive financial advisory and capital-raising solutions to corporations, institutions, and governments worldwide. Our Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team is at the forefront of innovation, delivering strategic advice and execution expertise across a full range of equity products.

We are seeking an experienced and highly accomplished Managing Director to join our Equity Capital Markets Advisory team. The successful candidate will be a critical leader in expanding our ECM advisory franchise, originating and executing complex equity transactions, and deepening relationships with corporate clients. This role demands a proven track record in ECM, exceptional client management skills, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to lead and mentor junior professionals.

Origination and Client Coverage:

• Proactively identify, originate, and secure new ECM advisory mandates especially in Technology, FinTech and Bio-Tech, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, convertible bond offerings, block trades, rights issues, and other equity-linked products.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives, boards of directors, and key stakeholders at public and private companies.
• Develop a deep understanding of clients' strategic objectives, capital needs, and market positioning to provide tailored and impactful ECM solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients on all aspects of equity capital markets, including market trends, valuation, structuring, investor targeting, and regulatory considerations.
• Lead and manage all phases of ECM transactions from pitch to closing, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to best practices.
• Oversee the preparation of marketing materials, offering documents, and investor presentations.
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams (e.g., sector coverage, syndicate, research, legal, compliance) and external parties (e.g., legal counsel, auditors) to ensure efficient and successful transaction execution.
• Negotiate transaction terms and conditions with clients and investors.
• Provide expert guidance on deal structuring, pricing, and allocation strategies.

Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership:

• Maintain an in-depth understanding of global equity capital markets, including regulatory changes, market trends, investor sentiment, and competitive landscape.
• Contribute to the firm's intellectual capital by developing market insights, thought pieces, and client presentations.
• Represent the firm at industry conferences and events, enhancing our market presence and reputation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in Equity Capital Markets within a leading investment bank, with a significant portion in an advisory capacity.
• Proven track record of originating and executing a wide range of complex ECM transactions across various industries.
• Extensive network of relationships with corporate clients, institutional investors, and legal/regulatory advisors.
• Deep understanding of equity market dynamics, valuation methodologies, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., SEC regulations).
• Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and quantitative skills.
• Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to motivate, develop, and manage high-performing teams.
• High degree of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, and results-oriented environment.
• FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses required.
