Summary

The Manager - W&D Logistics (Kingston, GA) will be an experienced In-Plant Logistics Manager to optimize all material flow within our EV battery manufacturing facility. You'll be responsible for efficient and timely movement of goods from receiving through production and shipment, focusing on cost reduction and productivity. This role demands a strong leader in supply chain, inventory, and warehouse operations, with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes. You'll drive operational excellence and collaborate across departments to meet production targets.

Compensation Range

$94,000 - $105,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Responsibilities

• Strategically plan and manage logistics and supply chain management services
  • Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle with JIT/JIS
  • Organize necessary customer services including warehousing, freight forwarding, and transportation
  • Track cost, productivity, accuracy, and performance
  • Work proactively with various departments to realize efficiencies and to meet expectations
  • Supervise, coach, and train workforce and contractors
  • Continuously look for improvements to operations
  • Comply with laws, regulations and quality requirements
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Confer and coordinate activities with other departments
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree Required
• 7 - 10 years of experience relating to Logistics, SCM, W&D, Automotive Required
• 8 - 13 years of experience relating to Logistics, SCM, W&D, Automotive Preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
• Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
• Precise Manual Dexterity - Writing, Typing, or handling small objects, etc.
• Possibility of domestic travel - 30%
