At TelCom Construction , as a Supply Chain Manager , you'll provide management, communication, direction and leadership to local warehouse/inventory coordinators and the rest of the organization, facilitating sound business decisions regarding the company's materials inventory procurement, organization and use throughout the Company's geographic footprint. It offers expertise in material logistics, procurement, management, program development, policy and procedure development and communication, inventory control and coordination.

What you'll do as a Supply Chain Manager

  • Creates and executes supply procurement and management plans that maximize availability, cost effectivenessand contract requirement compliance of materials for all Company locations
  • Develops policies and procedures for handling and movement of materials within each warehouse/yardlocation in compliance with all SOX and other compliance requirements
  • Analyzes and researches material margins and discrepancies to ensure material reporting is accurate to supportthe overall profitability of each project
  • Communicates with individuals at all levels of the organization to achieve compliance with material trackingprocesses and procedures
  • Develops and implements quarterly count processes and adjusts them as necessary to ensure complete andaccurate inventory level reporting
  • Resolves problems concerning transportation, logistics systems or customer issues
  • Interviews, selects, and trains inventory department personnel as required by location
  • Manages the activities of inventory personnel and yard workers on an ongoing basis
  • Plans, develops, and implements warehouse safety and security programs and activities
  • Identifies, defines and monitors performance-related KPI metrics and holds department personnel accountableto achieving departmental standards
  • Trains new employees in all aspects of the job including but not limited to material tracking and documentationas well as job-specific operation of utilized equipment
  • Manages shipping instructions and provides routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated
  • Manages inventory levels and assists with obsolete stock issues
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Financial Accounting or other relatedfield and 5 years of Supply Chain Management experience; or combination of education and experience isrequired. Previous experience in a SOX compliant role strongly preferred
  • Strong negotiator and consensus builder
  • Proven leadership in a cross functional team environment
  • Proficient word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and cloud-based computer skills are required.Working knowledge of Google suite of applications strongly preferred
  • Ability to apply project management concepts, and methodologies
  • General understanding of Business Financial and/or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance
  • Ability to safely operate forklift, telehandler and skid steer equipment
  • Ability to travel throughout the Company footprint as required
