Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Manager of Software Engineering to lead and inspire our talented engineering team. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in service-based architectures, outstanding leadership skills, and a passion for delivering innovative software solutions. In this role, you will drive the development and execution of our technology roadmap to create top-tier tools for our sales and tech teams, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer and business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Drive technology feasibility, delivery, and quality in partnership with product and design teams.
  • Establish and gain acceptance for technology roadmaps aligned with product strategies.
  • Serve as a go-to expert for technical capabilities and solutions.
  • Communicate technology vision, principles, and roadmaps effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Negotiate efficiently while maintaining relationships and driving decision-making.
  • Guide technical team interactions, influencing architecture, software design, and incident recovery.
  • Advise team members on software design, coding, testing, and documentation quality.
  • Build strong relationships with product, design, and operations teams.
  • Understand and communicate the financial impacts of capabilities for informed decision-making.
  • Vet and refine requirements to clearly articulate their purpose.
  • Establish clear cost and time commitments, ensuring they are met.
  • Communicate expectations proactively and share knowledge to elevate team performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least seven years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years in leadership.
  • Strong technical expertise in relevant technologies (e.g., Go, Java, cloud platforms, CI/CD).
  • Proven leadership ability to inspire and manage engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills tailored to different audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creative solution-finding abilities.
  • Experience in managing software projects from scope to execution.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments.
