Manager, QA Automation - Ice : Job Details

Job Purpose

ICE Mortgage Technology is seeking a QA Automation Manager who will manage a team of QA Analysts and drive both manual and automation testing efforts for the Servicing Digital platform. This is a working, technical manager role responsible for developing and executing testing scenarios while mentoring QA teams towards automation expertise.

Responsibilities

• Determines test methodology and test data setup.
• Actively participates in grooming, planning, and daily standups.
• Designs, implements, and maintains automated test scripts using Selenium for UI testing and ReadyAPI/SoapUI/Postman for API testing across multiple environments.
• Works closely with Engineering to implement automated test scripts in the various code deployment environments' pipelines.
• Collaborates with Developers, QA, and other project team members to analyze test results, locate problems, identify root causes, and develop solutions.
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• Regularly evaluates industry automated testing tools and champions if a good fit to provide significant automation testing lift.
• Conducts internal studies and/or audits on client and product development/engineering or operations team activities to evaluate if processes and deliverables fulfill the requirements for quality, uncover errors or deficiencies, and identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitors testing procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with standard processes required in the SDLC.
• Contributes to the tactical and strategic planning for future QA/testing programs.
• Stays current with process-related industry standards.
• Communicates quality information throughout the organization.
• Supports the development and delivery of training in quality matters.
• Leads and mentors a team of QA Analysts.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• 7+ years of experience working as a dedicated QA Engineer.
• Previous Technical Team Lead or Technical Manager experience preferred.
• Excellent knowledge and expertise of both manual and automated testing practices.
• Experience with Selenium for test automation.
• Experience working with API testing and automation tools like Postman, Groovy Scripting, or ReadyAPI.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Groovy, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting.
• Thorough knowledge and use of process improvement and quality management methods, tools, and technology used to create and support defect-free application software or business operations processes.
• Considerable knowledge of the basic principles, processes, phases, and roles of application development methodologies and software development life cycles (SDLC).
• Ability to work collaboratively with Product and Development teams to achieve project goals.
