Reporting to the FSQRA Director for our Centralia, IL facility, a local producer of Duncan Hines products, you will help us ensure food safety and quality of all products. You will help define best practices and provide guidance to ensure adherence to quality policies.
How Will You Affect Our Business?
- Ensure all plant personnel follow good manufacturing practices, including proper waste disposal, personal hygiene, and personal practices.
- Work with Operations and Maintenance to lead Food Safety and Quality ownership on the floor.
- Manage plant timelines and milestones for the Food Safety and Quality Improvement Plan and other food safety/quality metrics.
- Analyze and communicate quality and food safety issues, both internal and external (e.g., consumer complaints), and initiate corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements (USDA, FDA, CFIA), company safety policies, and OSHA regulations.
- Liaise with local, state, and federal inspectors and other regulatory officers visiting the plant.
- Provide leadership and ensure compliance on food safety and quality programs, such as HACCP, SQF certification, recall, environmental monitoring, and pest control programs.
- Serve as a liaison for technical and QA issues between operations, RQI, and sales/marketing departments.
- Assist corporate in vendor quality issues.
- Oversee product quality during new product implementation, ensuring use of applicable MOPD and CQV tools.
- Act as FS&Q pillar owner for Conagra Performance System, using continuous improvement tools to identify opportunities and develop improvement plans.
- Lead regulatory, customer (including SQF), and internal audit processes, including responses and corrective actions.
Do You Have What It Takes?
- Bachelor's degree in biology, Food Science, or related field.
- At least 4 years of QA food manufacturing or related leadership experience.
- Experience with sanitation programs and their implementation.
- Skills in process control monitoring, auditing, sanitation, HACCP, SSOP regulations, team leadership, and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in applying mathematical operations for process capability, analysis of variance, sampling theory, and predictive quality processes.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $81,000 - $118,000
The actual salary will depend on location, experience, skills, and internal equity. Conagra complies with applicable minimum salary laws.
