This position reports to the Director of Commissioning. The ideal candidate should have expertise in building commissioning, team and client management experience, and some business development experience working with private and public sector clients.Position ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement commissioning strategies in collaboration with Divisional and Firm Leadership.Assist project managers in resource allocation for commissioning projects.Establish work plans and estimates for department staff projects.Supervise project execution and staff performance to meet department goals.Manage client communications and expectations for commissioning projects.Supervise or perform tasks including:Development of project-specific commissioning plans involving design review, system installation verification, and functional testing.Creating analyses and reports; conducting field assessments and on-site commissioning activities.Functional testing of building systems including MEP and controls.Completing USGBC LEED commissioning tasks and credits.Building energy and resource use analysis using energy simulation software.Execute Osborn's QA/QC process for commissioning projects.Maintain project backlogs and staffing forecasts.Perform resource management and annual staff reviews.Assist HR with recruitment and training.Engage in business development through trade organizations and client presentations.Job Requirements/Qualifications10+ years of experience in building commissioning.Strong communication and writing skills.Ability to promote career growth within the department.Leadership and presentation skills.Knowledge of MEP/FP systems design and construction.Knowledge of building automation systems.Understanding of test and balance procedures.Experience in various sectors such as Healthcare, Commercial, Public, Industrial, Education, or Institutional projects is a plus.Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.Certifications such as BCxP, CCP, CxA, or CBCP are preferred.LEED AP with specialty is a plus.PE license is preferred.Experience with web-based commissioning management software is a plus.Physical DemandsFrequent computer use, occasional climbing, lifting equipment up to 30 pounds.Work EnvironmentPrimarily indoor office work, with travel to construction sites which may involve high altitudes or confined spaces.TravelPeriodic overnight travel as needed.Additional CharacteristicsReliable, team-oriented, self-starter, positive attitude, strong work ethic, critical thinker, detail-oriented, innovative, good communicator.We offer a challenging career with profit sharing and stock options.
