IT Business AnalysisPosition Summary
Under limited direction, the Manager of Capital Projects has responsibility for management of capital projects in support of repair and upgrade of the campus. This position serves as a member of the IT and Operations management team and is involved in the development and implementation strategic plans for the campus. This position has responsibility for projects with multiple interdependencies and high complexity, scope, risk, and impact to the campus.Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Communicate with all levels of the organization, including project team, steering committees, and executive leadership.
Oversees all aspects of program and project portfolio throughout project lifecycles to ensure completion within the defined scope, quality, time, and cost constraints.
Create and submit all necessary documentation to HED for state funded projects. Complete monthly and quarterly project reporting to HED.
Collaborate on the design of classrooms, laboratories, and other technologically driven teaching spaces.
Manages multiple projects across college with multiple internal and external dependencies, complex or multiple scope, a higher level of risk requiring mitigation plans.
Plan and manage all aspects of capital project design, development, and implementation including preliminary technical research and feasibility analysis, funding and cost analysis, scheduling, project budgeting, work plan development, and project performance and results.
Review engineering and financial performance reports. Oversee inspections and verification of work during construction.
Maintain complete capital project files including drawings, proposals, contracts, work-in-progress reviews, inspections, and communications.
Leads project and steering committee meetings as well as ad hoc executive leadership briefings.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires frequent and continuous sitting/moving about, continuous use of fine motor skills, and pushing and pulling of up to 20 lbs.
SCHEDULE DETAILS:
Must be available to work 40 hrs. per week with normal work hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree in Management, Engineering or related field is required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively position an organization to embrace new directions quickly, while maintaining and supporting a stable, dependable, and secure operation.
An ability to manage multiple projects; and plan, organize, assign and control resources for projects.
The position requires a progressive, innovative individual with excellent planning, organizational, management, technical, and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Management experience with an administrative or instructional data processing unit of a college or university is preferred.
