Summary:
The Manager of Business Operations oversees sales and overall business functions at Unistel Industries, a SQF certified and FDA-approved manufacturer of food products, including Salute Seasonings. This role involves monitoring purchasing, order entry, and cost accounting to align efforts with budgetary goals and support Unistel's mission.
Essential Job Functions:
Identify new business opportunities and potential customers to increase spice product sales.Supervise senior buyer, order entry specialist, cost accountant, and business developer; responsible for hiring, training, and onboarding.Collaborate with the Associate Director of Production to ensure adequate equipment and materials for production.Gain proficiency in order entry, shipping, and purchasing processes to manage and oversee these areas effectively.Oversee inventory controls via SAGE and generate related reports.Monitor Business Development efforts and CRM to identify potential customers.Design and implement an annual sales plan aligned with organizational strategy.Conduct market analysis to develop appropriate strategies for current and new opportunities.Analyze sales data and prepare reports for leadership.Become a subject matter expert on Unistel spice products and industry competitors.Network with sales professionals in the spice and food industry.Maintain strong relationships with Procurement, Finance, Marketing, etc., to ensure timely manufacturing of new products.Participate in company meetings and committees as assigned.Assist with production efforts as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong communication skills (oral and written).Proven sales record demonstrating ability to forecast and meet targets.Ability to work collaboratively, influence, and build partnerships.Results-driven with problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Initiative and leadership qualities.Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; Master's preferred.Minimum five years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in food sales and distribution.Experience in food manufacturing and processing, preferably in the spice industry.Knowledge of CRM and software packages.Note: Education and experience requirements may be waived at management's discretion with CEO and HR approval.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
