Job Title: Manager Of Breast Care Services
Reports To: Assistant Vice President Of Operations And Business Development
Job Summary:
The Manager of Breast Care Services will coordinate day-to-day operations across breast imaging and breast surgery office practice workflows. This includes administrative and scheduling support, coordination of referrals, and collaboration with the Director and AVP on outreach initiatives. The role supports patient care continuity, ensures service efficiency, and engages with community partners to raise awareness of available services. Coordinates care processes with main hospital OR, quality, pharmacy, and inpatient services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational & Clinical Management
- Coordinate daily operations across breast imaging modalities (mammography, ultrasound, MRI), biopsy scheduling, and surgical workflows.
- Support compliance with regulatory standards, including ACR and MQSA requirements, and assist with quality assurance processes.
- Assist in oversight of clinical and administrative staff including schedulers, navigators, and technologists.
- Monitor equipment functionality and collaborate with IT for EMR/PACS updates.
- Support the integration and coordination of breast surgery services within the breast imaging service line to promote seamless care delivery across the entire RUMC suite of services.
2. Program Coordination & Support
- Support the implementation of strategic growth initiatives as directed by the Assistant Vice President of Business Development, including mobile screening coordination, outreach efforts, and patient education programs.
- Track performance indicators related to patient access, visit volumes, and patient satisfaction using basic data management tools (e.g., Excel, dashboards).
- Assist in quality improvement initiatives in coordination with leadership and other departments such as Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management.
3. Referral & Internal Communication
- Facilitate communication between referring providers and breast care services to support efficient referral pathways.
- Coordinate scheduling and clinical teams to ensure timely access to appointments.
- Increase monthly breast imaging volume activity to meet goal metrics.
4. Marketing & Community Outreach
- Support planning and logistics for marketing initiatives and community outreach events.
- Serve as a liaison to community-based organizations and local providers for breast health promotion.
- Assist with mobile mammography event coordination and promotional materials.
5. Patient Navigation Support
- Coordinate logistics for patient navigation services to support the continuum of care.
- Assist in providing educational and supportive materials for patients.
- Help facilitate multidisciplinary scheduling and follow-up.
- Ensure 100% compliance with call-back systems and follow up on patient care protocols.
6. Staff Coordination & Communication
- Support onboarding and training of staff under the direction of senior leadership.
- Assist in organizing staff meetings, communications, and credentialing tracking.
7. Quality & Data Management
- Oversee quality assurance activities related to breast care services in coordination with hospital Quality and Compliance teams.
- Utilize MagView for tracking imaging results, biopsy outcomes, call-backs, follow-up compliance, and patient navigation metrics.
- Monitor and report on quality indicators, including cancer detection rates, recall rates, and time to follow-up.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop process improvements and maintain regulatory readiness.
- Ensure documentation practices are accurate, timely, and support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 35 years of relevant healthcare operations or administrative experience.
- Clinical licensure or certifications (e.g., RN, ARRT) a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and healthcare workflows preferred.
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, and demonstrates the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Work Environment:
Based in clinical and administrative settings with occasional participation in community outreach events.

$60,000 - $65,000
