Job Description :

We are searching for a Manager for the Ambulatory Clinics at our West Campus — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will manage and lead daily clinic and personnel activities. The Manager participates in and coordinates the delivery of high-quality, family-centered, and developmentally appropriate patient care at the clinic level.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Master's degree or in active pursuit of such advanced degree preferred
  • Six (6) years of clinic experience, private practice experience, or outpatient nursing experience required
  • Some supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience matching the patient population the clinic serves preferred
  • Experience in the medical specialty of the area the individual manages preferred

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates effective communication skills with the healthcare team and works to eliminate communication barriers
  • Serves as a liaison between physicians, families, clinical staff, and ancillary departments to promote high patient, physician, and team member satisfaction
  • Monitors staffing requirements and productivity levels by establishing staffing guidelines based on patient needs and budgetary constraints, reviewed at least annually
  • Participates in the decision-making process for hiring new employees
  • Coaches and develops team members using an interdisciplinary approach, providing structured feedback through yearly development plans and formal follow-ups at least twice a year
  • Demonstrates accountability for cost-effective management of resources (equipment and supplies) while ensuring the department meets patient care goals
  • Ensures delivery of quality, cost-effective patient care within a family-centered care environment by participating in or leading at least one performance improvement activity annually that aims to improve clinical outcomes, patient flow, customer satisfaction, or employee satisfaction
  • Collaborates with colleagues in other departments to meet all accrediting agencies' requirements
  • Participates in hospital-wide committees as appropriate to ensure continuity in the standard of care
