Position Summary Serves as lead clinical technician and ensures that quality and customer service standards are met by the care team. Position is a working manager role and maintains principal clinical duties associated with orthopaedic technician role and radiological technologist role (if applicable). Primary Functions & Accountabilities Oversees essential clinical support functions of the physician office Serves as a working manager and functional expert in all physician office clinic tasks Ensures that proper operational procedures are followed with regard to staffing, intake, examination, and post-visit instructions In coordination with the Director of Operations, serves as a clinical liaison between assigned physician office and other offices within the practice and provides supervisory oversight of staff Oversees the patient experience within the clinic and ensures excellent customer service Provides first point of escalation in the event concerns are brought forward by a patient, visitor, or staff member; Refers complex patient relation matters to the Director, Operations as appropriate Maintains effective productivity standards for department as evidenced by observation, reports and team feedback; is open to feedback and receptive to change Provides timely coaching and feedback to staff on fulfillment of job duties and patient services Assists with training and performance assessment of new staff Effectively communicates changes in procedures and policies Provides support to the medical staff in the care and management of patient as directed by physician or other medical staff Reviews and updates patient charts, provides direct patient care, and thoroughly and accurately documents care under direction of physicians Demonstrates the ability to: assemble, apply and maintain traction; apply casts; fit and adjust braces and other orthopedic supplies and DMEs as directed by the needs of the facility Maintains orthopedic equipment and supplies inventory assuring that equipment is kept clean and functional, and that supplies are maintained at appropriate par levels Manages sharps containers in exam rooms ensuring that all safety measures are followed Completes assigned administrative responsibilities within established time frames (e.g. submitting treatment charges, time cards, schedules, administrative tasks and mandatory position requirements) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong customer service skills Excellent communication skills Ability to assess situations, resolve within scope of ability, or escalate as appropriate Ability to respond effectively to emergencies, actual events or drills. Ability to maintain professional demeanor in all aspects of role Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree Preferred Radiologic Technologist Licensure or Orthopedic Technician Certification preferred At least 3 years of supervisor/managing experience and patient care experience in a clinic or hospital setting #MAOV #STATEOV Employment Type: Full Time
