About the Role
The Manager of IST serves as a key administrative partner to the department. This position is responsible for planning and maintaining work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage the optimum performance of its people and other resources within a business unit.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Oversees and manages the evaluation, implementation, analysis, and coordination of IT systems employed by University Hospital.
- Identifies opportunities for operating efficiency, cost containment and reduction, outcomes, improved communications, patient care, patient safety, and fiscal management supported through automated systems.
- Partners with senior leadership to ensure that all technology-related policies and guidelines are current.
- Leads employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
- Maintains transparent communication; appropriately communicates organizational information through the department.
- Understands and adheres to University Hospital's compliance standards as outlined in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- Five (5) years of progressive experience with clinical information applications in healthcare or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- No less than three (3) years of demonstrated IM/IT experience.
- Three (3) years of supervisory managerial experience, including maintaining policies and database analysis.
- Two (2) years of project team leadership with emphasis on task management, user relations, and written and oral communications.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA concepts and requirements as they relate to medical systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hospital and health systems operations is a plus. Experience in team leadership and direct supervision is required.

Compensation (NJ Job Transparency Law)
The expected salary range for this position is [$113,688.00-$170,529.00] per year, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
