Townsen Memorial is hiring for the Manager, Healthcare Operations position over at our location!
The Healthcare Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operational activities of designated departments within the hospital and its adjacent Ambulatory Surgery Center. The Healthcare Operations Manager works closely with department leaders and clinical teams to optimize resource utilization, drive operational efficiency, and support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role ensures seamless alignment and collaboration among departments, as well as with external partners and stakeholders, by fostering transparent and effective communication.
Oversee the daily operations of multiple clinical and non-clinical departments, including ancillary services.
Support and assist on-site clinical leadership with the oversight and coordination of day-to-day campus operations.
Act as a liaison between administrative staff, clinical teams, and executive leadership.
Collaborate with the Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) and Director of Nursing (DON) at each campus.
Assist clinical leadership in aligning facility operations with patient care goals, safety initiatives, and service delivery standards.
Facilitate consistent communication between operational and clinical teams.
Implement and monitor policies and procedures that improve operational efficiency and quality of care.
Streamline workflows and interdepartmental communication to enhance coordination and reduce inefficiencies.
Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.
Analyze operational data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate facility maintenance and ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Support recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of non-clinical personnel.
Facilitate strategic projects, including new facility openings, technology system implementations and service line expansions.
Ensure effective resource allocation and staff utilization across multiple departments and facilities.
Strong knowledge of hospital operations, healthcare delivery systems, and administrative functions.
Familiarity with ancillary services and facility management processes.
Knowledge of budgeting, financial oversight, and resource planning.
Proficiency with EHR systems and healthcare operations software.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, organizational and time management skills.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
Ability to make sound decisions under pressure, especially during emergencies or critical situations.
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
Three (3) years of experience in healthcare management or operations.
One (1) year of experience managing multiple departments, including ancillary services and/or facilities operations.
