Manager, Field Applications Engineer (FAE) - Renesas Electronics Corporation : Job Details

As a Field Application Manager specializing in Linux and Android support for System on Chip (SoC) platforms for Industrial and Automotive, you will be at the forefront of our customer engagement efforts and managing the team. Your primary role will be to provide technical guidance and support to our clients, Internal team members and assisting them in implementing and optimizing Linux and Android operating systems on various Renesas SoC devices. You will be instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction while driving product adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Expertise:

• Gain comprehensive knowledge of both Linux and Android operating systems, with a keen focus on their functionalities and compatibility with SoC architectures.
• Provide expert-level support in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting Linux and Android on SoC platforms.

2. Customer Interaction:

• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering best practice advice.
• Develop strong relationships with clients to understand their unique requirements and provide customized support.

3. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:

• Assist customers in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to Linux and Android integration with SoCs.
• Create solutions for performance optimization, driver compatibility, and system stability.

4. Documentation and Training:

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams on Linux and Android features, emphasizing practical use cases with SoC devices.

5. Collaborative Efforts:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, software development, and engineering, to relay customer feedback and influence product improvements.
• Provide insights and suggestions during product design and development phases to enhance compatibility and ease of use.

6. Stay Abreast of Industry Trends:

• Continuously monitor advancements in Linux and Android ecosystems, as well as SoC technologies, to provide cutting-edge support and recommendations.
• Participate in relevant training and conferences to enhance knowledge and network with industry professionals.

Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Electronics & communication, or a related field.

Experience: Demonstrable experience in supporting Linux and Android operating systems in embedded systems or SoC environments in the industry for 7~10 Years

Skills:

- Proficient in Linux and Android system architecture, kernel development, and user-space programming.

- Strong understanding of embedded systems and SoC design principles.

- Experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Android Java/Kotlin, or Python

- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset.

- Exceptional communication skills to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, accessible manner.
