Job Summary

This leader has operational accountability and oversight, managing the daily activities of Facilities Management Operations. They set a positive tone, model leadership behavior, and ensure team tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully to support departmental and organizational goals.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required. Relevant work experience in engineering/facility operations can substitute on a year-for-year basis.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of practical experience in healthcare engineering management, with at least three (3) years in healthcare design and construction/renovation management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of cost accounting, project cost analysis, and work scheduling principles.
  • Knowledge of plant management, including systems, equipment, preventive and corrective maintenance, and emergency systems such as power generation.
  • Ability to direct outside consultants in design, construction, or renovation activities.
  • Effective supervision skills with positive staff interaction.
  • Ability to present information clearly in verbal and written formats.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and software related to facility planning, project management, scheduling, budgeting, and communication.
