The purpose of this role is to develop standards and guidelines in U.S. (re-)export controls and sanctions law within the Robert Bosch network worldwide and translate them to regional levels. This position extends the global team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage global risk management, derive governance requirements, and develop minimum standards.
  • Monitor legal developments (including Executive Orders, EAR, OFAC, ITAR) and assess their impact on Bosch's global business activities. Define measures and process requirements accordingly.
  • Support the development of the re-export control law process landscape at Bosch, focusing on U.S. laws and regulations, including reporting systems and implementation of requirements.
  • Conduct export audits and health checks for re-export compliance; design and monitor data analysis related to export control risks.
  • Communicate changes in export regulations and deliver re-export compliance training.
  • Act as a contact for export control laws with business units, departments, and authorities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Export Controls and a Bachelor's degree, or 14+ years of experience with an Associate's Degree.
  • 7+ years of experience with U.S. export control laws (EAR, OFAC, ITAR, FTR).
  • Proven ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. sanctions and export laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in training development and delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Internal audit skills.
  • Continuous learner, proactive in research.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to act independently and make compliant decisions.
  • Capability to identify issues, resolve inquiries, and develop solutions effectively.
  • Knowledge of EU and UN sanctions and export laws.
  • Strong coordination and collaboration skills.
  • Organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Experience in the automotive industry, especially regarding export compliance for software and technology.

Travel Requirements: 10%-20% (Domestic and International)
