KPMG is seeking a Manager, Cyber Defense Architect for our Consulting practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, design, implementation, testing, and engineering for large-scale cyber defense and security operations programs
- Define guidance on security architecture, assisting clients with reducing their attack surface and optimizing cyber defensive capabilities to adapt to modern threats
- Facilitate delivery of large-scale security operations architecture and engineering programs
- Innovate next-generation cyber defense solutions to minimize impact, decrease likelihood, and increase adaptability to cyber threats
- Innovate cyber threat management and security automation programs leveraging AI and machine learning
- Present firm-based approaches and messaging at internal trainings, external events, and client meetings
Qualifications
- A minimum of five years of experience in Information Security or a technology-related field
- Hands-on experience with security data engineering, ETL, scripting and query languages (e.g., Python, SQL) and cloud technologies
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience; cyber security, cyber defense, and/or technical infrastructure certifications
- Experience designing enterprise-scale technology systems, orchestrating automation and optimizing processes for time and/or cost efficiency
- Experience with object-oriented programming, software architecture, parameterization, storage/compute optimization, and interoperability design
- Ability to critically assess security tooling capabilities and present defendable, technical justifications for decisions and designs
- Willingness to travel in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and to grasp new technology quickly
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
