Manager, Cohort Learning

Job Description:

HITT Contracting is seeking a Cohort Learning Manager to own the planning, execution, and facilitation of cohort learning companywide. The ideal candidate is an experienced training facilitator with a background in the construction industry. This candidate has a deep passion for designing highly engaging and interactive in-person training experiences, that not only meet desired learning objectives, but also help participants unlock their potential and reach their goals. The Cohort Learning Manager will report directly to the Senior Manager of Learning & Development. The role expands the existing Learning & Development team which sits within Human Resources.

This position reports to HITT Contracting's headquarters in the Washington, DC area (Falls Church, VA). Responsibilities

  • Facilitate cohorts, team-building exercises, and collaborative discussions.

  • Design and deliver customized session plans, materials, and interactive activities aligned with the specific goals of cohort or program.

  • Create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages open dialogue and active participation from all attendees.

  • Monitor and document session outcomes, providing detailed summaries, key takeaways, challenges encountered, and actionable recommendations for leadership.

  • Provide ongoing support and relevant resources to participants to help reinforce and apply session insights in their day-to-day roles.

  • Continuously refine facilitation techniques by incorporating participant feedback and evaluating session effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and recommend future learning and development initiatives across the organization.

  • Track and manage the program budget and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Communication, Education, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience facilitating group learning sessions or cohort-based training programs, ideally in corporate, technical, or skilled trades environments.

  • Strong background in instructional design or adult learning principles, with a focus on experiential and cohort learning models.

  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and scale learning programs from the ground up.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to assess training needs and deliver impactful solutions.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple cohorts or initiatives simultaneously.

  • Ability to gather feedback, measure program effectiveness, and use data to improve learning experiences.

  • Ability to navigate group dynamics and constructively manage differing opinions.

  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading a team.

  • Comfort working in both in-person and virtual environments, including familiarity with relevant learning platforms or tools (e.g., Teams or LMS systems).

  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Eagerness to integrate into an entrepreneurial and highly demanding work environment
