Compensation Range

The base pay scale for this position is $121,500.00 - $185,250.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.What you will be doing

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Manager of Clinical Applications oversees the Inpatient and HIM IT teams, ensuring effective project execution, staff development, and operational excellence. This role is responsible for managing team deliverables, providing strategic direction, and serving as a liaison between IT, clinical stakeholders, and vendors. The Manager plays a key role in optimizing Epic systems and related clinical technologies to support hospital operations and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of analysts supporting Epic Inpatient (Orders, Clinical Documentation) and Epic HIM (Deficiency Tracking, ROI, Coding) as well as many 3rd party systems used in these operational areas.
  • Oversee project portfolios, resource allocation, and performance management.
  • Serve as an escalation point and represent the team in leadership forums.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to align technology with business needs.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in workflow design, documentation, and system optimization.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and system upgrades.
  • Support major go-lives and system updates, including on-call rotation and off-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education:Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years in healthcare IT or clinical systems.
    • 1+ years in a leadership role within a fast-paced, complex environment.
    • Strong background in Epic implementation and support.
  • Certifications (1 or more required):
    • Epic Orders
    • Epic Clinical Documentation
    • Epic Deficiency Tracking
    • Epic ROI and Hospital Coding

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams, OneNote, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Proven project management and analytical skills.
  • Deep understanding of clinical workflows and Epic system capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience with systems like Monday.com, Workday, CBORD, WellSky Care Manager, and Solventum is a plus.
