Manager, Central Sterile Processing - University of Pittsburgh Medical Center : Job Details

Lead and support a team of sterile processing professionals, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management. Collaborate with OR clinicians and leadership to manage surgical tray inventory, consignment contracts, and instrumentation needs. Maintain compliance with hospital policies and ensure staff competency and orientation. Monitor departmental performance, budgets, and supply levels; provide regular reports to the OR Unit Director. Serve as a key liaison between Sterile Processing and internal stakeholders to ensure service satisfaction. Remain accessible for 24/7 staff support (no on-call, weekends, or holidays required). Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support a culture of safety, accountability, and professional growth. Associate degree in nursing, Business, or related field. 5 years of experience in Central Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology. 3 years supervisory or team lead experience required.
