Mammography Technologist-PN - Lexington Medical Center : Job Details

Works independently to perform digital screening mammography imaging based on hospital policies and practice standards, under the supervision of the interpreting physician. Must demonstrate an understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Must maintain accuracy in breast positioning, exposure techniques, and image evaluation while adhering to radiation protection and safety standards. Must understand the federal regulations governing mammography practice in order to meet the standards for the performance of breast imaging. Must have knowledge of the quality assurance policies and quality control testing for mammography within federal regulation guidelines. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Education: Associates Degree or Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology Minimum Years of Experience: None.
