Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and ensure quality patient care and mammographic imaging for accurate diagnostics.
- Welcoming patients, obtaining their medical history, and recording information in the electronic medical records.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing faxes, logs, and all necessary paperwork.
- Prepare the mammography suite, maintaining cleanliness and stocking medical supplies as needed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide guidance during examinations.
- Assist in the accreditation process for the American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years.
- Mentor new hires and provide excellent communication with patients, their families, physicians, and other medical staff.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by management to ensure operational success.
Required Qualifications:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) (M) certification.
- Currently hold or have the ability to obtain Diagnostic Mammography certification within 180 days.
- Experience with electronic medical records.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiography, Radiation Therapy, or Nuclear Medicine.
- At least 1 year of experience as a general radiologic technologist.
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds.
- Assisting patients weighing up to 300 pounds for equipment operations.
- Vision correctable to 20/20 for operating equipment and analyzing developed images.
Compensation for this position ranges from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications, with benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401k plans, and wellness programs in place to support your well-being.
