We are an open beauty Atelier where guests can discover and explore new products, experiment with industry makeup techniques, and swap ideas with like-minded beauty lovers. Take a virtual tour The Atelier Makeup Artist is an elevated in-house beauty expert, who has a seasoned understanding of CHANEL make-up, skin care and fragrance products. The Atelier Makeup Artist is experienced in the technical application of products and possesses a sophisticated sense of emotional intelligence as well as a highly authentic and infectious personal style. The Atelier Makeup Artist will be reporting to the Expert Artist and partnering closely with the Senior Events & Services Manager.   • Execute one-on-one guest services where the guest feels understood and leaves the experience feeling confident and enriched
  • Facilitate In-person and virtual services: Makeup Lessons & Applications, Makeup Applications, Skin Consultations, Fragrance Discoveries, Workshops, Events and My Atelier Membership.
  • Aid in color guidance, application techniques and gestures, personalized skincare routine tips, as well as supporting and/or facilitating group event workshop offerings and hosting fragrance discoveries.
  • Create relevant and alluring interpretations of CHANEL's latest product trends for their local client base.
  • Facilitate end-to-end guest services: review beauty preferences and questionnaire responses to personalize the experience based on guest's beauty goals; provide tips and techniques empowering the guest to explore beauty their way.
  • Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction with experience and motivate them to practice their new skills and book future sessions.
  • Partner with Events and Services Manager and Master Artists to ideate new services for in-person, virtual or offsite such as Bridal and other special occasions.
  • Express strong competitive knowledge and awareness of industry trends, experimenting with new products and/or collections and making recommendations to Atelier Director on product assortment additions within the space.
  • Ensure guest safety, cleanliness, and satisfaction, following the House Rules.
  • Maintain and provide guests with knowledge in all CHANEL Fragrance, Makeup and Skincare products; showcasing elevated application, gestures and tool techniques that express the CHANEL Makeup and Skincare savior faire that translates looks from the runway to reality.
Additional Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in makeup artistry, beauty innovation, and beauty and fragrance education.
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated passion for the beauty and fragrance industry and demonstrated skill in guest-centric makeup application.
  • Ability to travel locally for Events and Services.
  • Skilled artistry in specific areas of focus such as: bridal, natural to bold makeup, special effects, pre-teen, mature and men's beauty.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A reliable team player who openly communicates availability and active willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • A multi-tasking pro who can flex between focuses or projects at a time.
  • Strong ability to use technology and curiosity to learn new systems to support the guest experience.
Compensation:
  • The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is $37.00 through $40.00. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other components [may/will] include additional compensation, benefits, and perks.

Flexible Time and Hybrid Work Options: Corporate/Home Office positions:
  • Fully Remote: Role can be conducted from home office, may require occasional travel and/or visits to corporate offices/points of sales.
  • Partially Remote: Role requires a minimum of three-days in-person office presence at the designated location/office.
  • Work-Place Essential: This role requires 5 days in person office at the designated location/office.
Retail/Field/Boutique positions:
  • Partially Remote:
    • Fragrance & Beauty Field, Fashion Regionals, etc.: Requires in-store presence to develop and coach teams, ensure boutique image and operational standards are upheld and support and create an elevated client experience. Eligible for flex time use.
  • Workplace Essential:
    • Boutique Management: Requires in-store presence to develop and coach teams, ensure boutique image and operational standards are upheld, and deliver elevated client service to drive business results.
    • Front of House Fashion: Full-time in-store and in-person presence required to support client sales and client service deliver elevated client service to drive business results.
    • Heart of House: Requires in-store presence to facilitate the opening and closing of the boutique; the receiving of inventory; shipping of product to support sales to ensure optimal client service.
