Wage Range: $94,474 - $151,174 per year
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Together, we've invested in what sets us apart: our commitment to clinical excellence, comprehensive care and community well-being.Job Summary:In the role of Major Gift Officer, this individual will be responsible for all aspects of fundraising including prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. They will bring a commitment to supporting the mission and work of EvergreenHealth by effectively communicating a vision for the future while showing donors ways they can make an impact.Responsibilities will include working with a portfolio of 125-150 individuals and organizations to successfully solicit gifts of $10,000 and above. As part of the Development team, this role will work cooperatively with team members to support fundraising events and annual programs to help engage current and new donors.Primary Duties:
Manage and track a portfolio of 125 donors and prospective donors; put in place and execute a plan to engage these donors and potential donors and to renew and increase their support.Work with service line and physician leaders on the identification, cultivation and solicitation of donors and prospects on a service line-based approach to fundraisingAssist with the planning and execution of cultivation events (venue, invitation, speaker, remarks and so on)Provide direct support staffing for major donor related responsibilities (scheduling meetings, tours, and donor communications)Work as part of an 9-person fundraising officeResponsible for development, monitoring, and achievement of budget goals for this position as part of the overall budget strategies for the Foundation.Experience with donor software, preferably Raiser's Edge and NXT.Performs other duties as assigned.License, Certification, Education or Experience:Requiredfor the position:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of professional experience
- Ability to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward individuals and families interested in a philanthropic partnership with EvergreenHealth.
- Ability to actively engaged in working to establish long-term partnerships and strengthen existing relationships with grateful patients, families and others in the private philanthropic community sector, as well as other key communities, that will result in funding for the immediate and long-term goals.
Desired for the position:
- Previous major gifts experience
- Proven track record in sales, cold calls, closure rate, initiation of donor/prospect leads
- Proven ability to manage and motivate volunteer leadership
- Knowledge of Donor Management database systems, Blackbaud products specifically
- Knowledge of researching potential of major gifts prospects/excellent computer research skills
- Understanding of and experience in the Puget Sound philanthropic community, preferably on the Eastside
- Interaction and involvement in professional fundraising associations and community groups encouraged
