This position is responsible for performing semi-skilled ground maintenance, relocating, renovating, and remodeling office by loading and unloading equipment, and services and maintains maintenance related equipment. In addition, this position assists the other trades in the repairing of equipment such as motors, compressors, air conditioners, vents, mowers, and other grounds equipment, along with performing janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, polishing floors, cleaning restrooms, and emptying trash. The ideal candidate has at least (6) months of experience performing a variety of semi-skilled tasks, has experience with hand and power tools, and strong organization and communication skills. We invite all qualified candidates to apply!POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSUnder immediate supervision, performs semi-skilled grounds maintenance work for the upkeep of grounds.Relocates, renovates, and remodels offices by loading and unloading equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and assists with equipment up to 75 pounds.Keeps equipment in good working order by making minor adjustments and repairs, including greasing machines, lubricating chains, changing oil, and daily cleaning.Assists tradesmen such as plumbers, carpenters, and/or electricians in repairing equipment and appliances, such as motors, compressors, air conditioners, vents, mowers, and other grounds equipment.Performs janitorial tasks such as emptying exterior trash and cigarette butt receptacles.Makes periodic rounds of buildings, inspecting for obvious safety and fire hazards.Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the duties enumerated above.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSRequires six (6) months experience performing a variety of semiskilled manual tasks in the maintenance of highways, buildings, grounds, waterways, or in related fields.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrefers six (6) months of professional experience operating and maintaining lawn care equipment including zero-turn and front mounted mowers.Prefers six (6) months of professional experience operating and maintaining snowplows and truck-mounted spreaders.Prefers six (6) months of professional experience using hand and power tools and performing semiskilled manual work.Prefers six (6) months of professional experience with one or more of the mechanical and building trades.Prefers six (6) months of professional experience following written and oral instructions.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT• Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.• Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required/mandated to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime.
