Perform the work necessary to maintain all buildings inside and outside throughout the school district. Perform all prescribed maintenance and service on all equipment and buildings following manufacturers' requirements, federal and state requirements and insurance requirements. Complete all required maintenance logs and records. Inspect all equipment and buildings by observing, monitoring and adjusting equipment during operations. Record and document all work performed. Perform a continuous preventative maintenance program throughout all buildings to ensure the safety and continuous operation of all functional areas; including doors and hardware, furniture (desks & tables), windows, drapes or blinds, moveable wall partition, dry wall, painting, furniture repair, wall repair, light stucco, all carpentry duties including tile, carpet, ceiling grid for drop ceiling, counter tops and framing door jambs. Notify manager of any conditions or occurances that may adversley affect the safety of operation or the quality of equipment or buildings. Use proper PPE (personal protective equipment) Conduct yourself in a friendly and courteous manner at all times and provide efficient, timely service. Must attend all departmental safety and staff meetings. Must attend new employee orientation. Must follow departmental safety policies and procedures as well as manufacturer's safety policies and procedure. Other duites as assigned by Facilities Manager. Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Demonstrate ability to follow instruction
- Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the work
- Thorough knowlege of the repair, maintenance and construction involving general carpentry.
- Considerable skills in locating and correcting defects related to building structures.
- Ability to communicte effectively, both verbally and written.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Ability to work indpendently.
