Maintenance Test Tech - Champion Personnel System : Job Details

Job Title: Maintenance Test TechnicianHours & Location:

• Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Cleveland, OH
• No overtime required

Pay & Benefits:

• $25-$30 per hour, based on experience
• Contract-to-hire position
• Excellent benefits upon permanent hire: medical, dental, and 401(k)
• Pay raise at hire-in, with further raises over time

Job Responsibilities:

• Assemble machinery and equipment used in the food packaging industry (e.g., stretch film wrappers, stainless steel tables)
• Use hand and power tools to install parts and components
• Read and follow blueprints and schematics
• Perform basic electrical work, including wiring controls, sensors, and power sources
• Assemble wire harnesses
• Conduct final equipment testing to ensure proper operation
• Troubleshoot and repair as needed
• Maintain accurate parts inventory and ensure materials are on hand for each job
• Monitor work in progress and check specs for accuracy
• Meet production schedules and deadlines, communicating expectations to the production team
• Lift up to 30 lbs as needed

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as an assembly technician (mechanical and electrical)
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Proficient blueprint and schematic reading
• Good time management and leadership skills
• Able to work proactively and meet deadlines
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Safety glasses required on the job
