• Strategizing and coordinating mechanical procedures is essential for producing high-quality, safe products.
• Executing setup and fine-tuning of manufacturing and packaging machinery to ensure optimal performance while adhering to cGMP standards and SOPs.
• Upholding and repairing production-related mechanical and equipment components, encompassing filling, packaging, and manufacturing machinery, in alignment with cGMP protocols.
• Managing and diagnosing issues with manufacturing and packaging machinery control systems (PLC, HMI, Servo, Photo Eyes, Proximity Sensors).
• Investigating equipment malfunctions through root cause analysis to implement corrective measures, thus preventing recurring failures.
• Conducting routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. Liaising with external vendors or contractors for mechanical operations-related services concerning production equipment and facilities.
• Maintaining inventory of spare parts to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Strict adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Policies, including lockout/tagout protocols.
• Carrying out assigned preventive maintenance duties for production machinery and facility operations.
• Providing training to new staff on equipment maintenance, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance as needed.
• Acting as a leader and mentor within the maintenance department to foster teamwork and skill development.
• Fulfilling additional duties as required to meet organizational objectives.
• Ensuring regular attendance and effective communication with other departments to promote collaboration within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Must have 3 years of experience as a mechanic in a GMP or Pharmaceutical environment.
• This role entails regular standing and requires the use of hands and arms for lifting and reaching. Candidates should be capable of lifting and moving packages and materials weighing at least 50 lbs.
