Job Type: Full-Time Shifts: First and Second shifts available Location: Newport News, Virginia Industry: Heavy Machinery, Automation About the Role: Join a dynamic and growing team in Newport News, Virginia, supporting a leader in heavy machinery and automation. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a crucial role in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of specialized mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems/components. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits. Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance in the maintenance of machines.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain various types of specialized systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Understand electrical systems, including 480 volts and below, and various control voltages.
• Conduct diagnostics, repair, and failure analysis of hydraulic system components with operating pressures exceeding 5000 PSI.
• Ensure excellent customer service through strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of facilities/machine maintenance experience.
• Associate degree or similar level of experience.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, including 480 volts and below, and various control voltages.
• Knowledge of hydraulic system component diagnostics, repair, and failure analysis.
• Fast-thinking, proactive, and self-sufficient.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean criminal record.
