Maintenance Technician - Redshift : Job Details

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of our client's facilities and equipment located near New Lebanon, NY. This role involves a mix of preventive and corrective maintenance, custodial duties, grounds care, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems. • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems (painting, oiling, greasing, adjustments, and repairs).
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and document maintenance activities.
• Conduct safety and quality checks on equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machines as needed.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues; install or replace machine parts per production requirements.
• Record and maintain repair, inspection, and maintenance logs.
• Assist with basic IT and electrical tasks, such as setting up computer cables, outlets, and light fixtures.
• Perform general building repairs, including plumbing, electrical wiring, windows, doors, and walls.
• Inspect and address safety hazards to maintain a secure work environment.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Oversee external contractors performing specialized repair work.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, ensuring all tools are properly stored.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned to support plant operations.

Job RequirementsQualifications of the Maintenance Plant Technician:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of multitasking and completing projects on time.
• Physically able to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks.
